Koji, a novelist, plans a secret tryst with his young mistress, Asami, hoping to slip away unnoticed by his wife, Michiko. However, Michiko follows him and shows up at the inn. While Koji tries to find a way to enjoy a romantic encounter with Asami behind his wife's back, he discovers that the inn's proprietress, Takako, was actually Asami's high school teacher—and that the two once shared a lesbian relationship.
